BLUE STAR IS HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THE ADDITION OF Steve Sanczyk

PRINCETON, NJ (OCTOBER 19, 2018) - We are pleased to announce the addition of Steven Sanczyk to our full time staff. Steve has been with us since the founding of Blue Star (2015). His knowledge of the players and families within Blue Star is second to none! He looks forward to taking on a larger role as Associate Director of All-Stars where he will continue to coach and assist players in their development.

Coach Sanczyk currently resides in his hometown of Kinnelon, New Jersey. He graduated from Seton Hall Prep in West Orange, NJ, where he was a three year starter on defense and captain during his senior year. He lead the Pirates to multiple state tournament bids including winning the Essex County tournament in 2013 and 2014.  His honors include All Conference, County and State selection. He also received the SHP Coaches award.

Steve was coached and mentored by both MV Whitlow and Don Green. He has been coaching under their guidances for eight years now.

He continued his academic and athletic career at Lehigh University, under Hall of Fame coach Kevin Cassese. Steve earned his varsity letter during his Freshman season but after sustaining an injury, he shifted his focus to academics. He completed his undergraduate degree in Economics in three years. In his fourth year, he received a Master’s degree in Management, also from Lehigh University. While completing his undergraduate degree at Lehigh, he became a certified lacrosse official.

Steve has a passion for teaching and coaching young athletes as well as an unshakably positive demeanor that allows him to connect with his players. Steve's energy and presence at practice are undeniable and now we are thrilled to have him bring that to our players and families every day!
