We are very excited to be working with the Travis Manion Foundation to help us develop great young men of character. On October 14th, speakers from the Travis Manion Foundation will be presenting to our All-Star players and Parents during our All-Star Fall Ball Sessions at The Hun School of Princeton. We support the Travis Manion Foundation and their  "IF NOT ME,  THEN WHO..." and "CHARACTER DOES MATTER"  Programs and Ethos.  The speakers will be sharing about the life of former Navy Lacrosse Player and SEAL Brendan Looney. Brendan and Travis were friends and former roommates while at the Naval Academy.

Quick in from the Travis Manion Foundation

When we launched our “If Not Me, Then Who…” movement more than a decade ago, we had ambitious goals to develop character in future generations through the leadership, experience, and selfless service of veterans and families of the fallen.

This month, we’ve hit a historic mark: 250,000 young people have been impacted by our Character Does Matter initiative across the nation.

These 250,000 young people are not just a statistic. From elementary school to college, our Spartan youth are empowered and energized to create positive change in their backyards through Operation Legacy service projects, are uniting communities by leading 9/11 Heroes Runs, and are finding their purpose by asking themselves “If Not Me, Then Who…” every day.

Honing our collective character strengths is the premise of creating a nation of purpose-driven individuals, the building-block in bridging the military-civilian divide, and the foundation for youth to develop positive responses to challenges at a young age.

Like building muscle, strengthening character doesn’t stop. We are continuously seeking new avenues to impact our youth, improving our curriculum, and building our base of volunteers who answered the call.

Volunteers like USMC Veteran Erik Shepard, whose mentorship with Leaders of the Pack at Wakefield Middle School in Raleigh, brings next-generation leaders to the forefront and challenges them to serve others and leave behind a legacy of character.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing amazing stories on our social media channels of some of the youth you – our dedicated Character Does Matter mentors – have impacted. We invite you to follow us and share these stories of character in action, and continue to ignite the “If Not Me, Then Who…” movement in our next generation of leaders.
