Haves and Might Haves

Haves and Might Haves

There is a distinct difference in the resumes of teams in the top ten and outside of it. The teams inside the top ten have racked up a bunch of quality wins and don't have many losses but after that.... Teams are taking a lot of losses and picking off big wins here or there. There are a lot of good teams in the mix, in fact, a few that you really wouldn't want to play in the NCAA playoff! Would anyone want to play Loyola or Towson in the first round?

Things Begin to Average Out...

At this point in the season, we are getting a large enough sample size for the rankings to reflect teams abilities. Before, performance may have exceeded expectations or teams may have underperformed. Now, as the season has gone on, the actual ability is represented well by the actual performance of teams over time. Army is a great example. They were highly ranked at the beginning of the season due to their win over Syracuse, but I don't think many people viewed Army as a top ten team. As the season played out, they have taken losses and settled into a spot in the rankings where they probably should be.

You can now also look at the rankings and for the most part say, that the higher ranked teams will most likely beat the teams behind them. UVA and UNC are great examples. They are very good, they would probably beat the teams ranked behind them in the poll. They have a bunch of losses, but to teams that are ranked higher than them.

Cuse: Hanging by a Thread

One goal game can easily go the other way. If Cuse is not careful, their season with weeks at the top could end too early come playoff time. They will need to learn to put teams away, letting St John's and Binghamton hang around is scary. If they lost to one of those teams, their spot in the rankings would be much different.

Blue Star Lacrosse Camps!

Have A Blast!

Blue Star Lacrosse Camps are designed to be fun for everyone involved (that includes counselors too!) There are a lot of reasons to go to camp but at the end of the day we want campers to leave feeling exhausted and excited for the next day. We strive to create an environment that cultivates a player's passion for the game - we have found over 25+ years of camps that passion and attitude are the biggest future drivers of success!
