PRINCETON, NJ (July 7, 2023)- New Princeton Day School Coach Nick Taylor joins Blue Star; bringing a wealth of College Coaching Experience to Blue Star's sidelines. With his first Head Coaching stint at Arcadia, followed by a very successful run at Haverford College; we are thrilled to have Coach Taylor join us.

Coach Taylor coached 14 USILA All-Americans, Coached D3 Player of the Year- Corey Elmer, Ranked #2 in the country, coached in 4 NCAA tournament games while competing for a National Championship.

Taylor spent the last five seasons leading the Fords, and guided a young team through the adversity of the pandemic, with 16 wins through three full seasons and two COVID-shortened campaigns. Haverford took down five nationally-ranked opponents under the guidance of Taylor.

In 2019, he became just the second coach in program history to lead the team to a pair of top 10 victories as the Fords toppled No. 10 Dickinson and No. 10 Ursinus in the span of three weeks in the depths of conference play. During the 2022 season, the Fords got the better of No. 18 Stevens at home under the lights. Haverford took down another pair of ranked conference foes as Haverford defeated No. 19 Ursinus and No. 19 Muhlenberg in the span of three weeks.

Most recently, sophomore goalkeeper Jacob Abraham was honored by US Lacrosse Magazine as an honorable mention Division III All-American after taking home second-team All-Centennial Conference recognition.

Haverford's on field success came in addition to mentoring three William W. Ambler '45 Award recipients (Ben Frost '19, Joe Weisberg '21, and Nate Rose '23) who achieved the highest cumulative GPA among all senior student-athletes at Haverford.

Frost was subsequently named the Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned a spot on the USILA All-American team, while Weisberg joined fellow goalkeeper Ethan Donlon on the CoSIDA Academic All-District at-large team following the 2020-21 academic year.

The Fords have garnered the strongest academic reputation in the Centennial Conference, with the most honorees on the Spring Academic Honor Roll in three of Taylor's four seasons that award has been announced. Haverford led the way with the most honorees in 2022, 2021, and 2019, and had the second-most honorees in 2020. The Fords have also qualified for the USILA Academic Team Award in each season of eligibility.

Prior to becoming the head coach at Haverford, Taylor spent four years as the head coach at Arcadia University. During his time at Arcadia, Taylor's teams climbed the MAC Commonwealth standings and tied the program's record for wins in a single season during the 2018 campaign. Four players earned All-MAC Commonwealth recognition under his guidance, while 48 student-athletes were named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll.
