PRINCETON, NJ (September 8, 2021) - We are pleased to announce the addition of Tyler Barbarich MS, CEP, CPT to our Blue Star Lacrosse full time staff. Coach Barbarich will be the Associate Director of All-Stars and Associate Director of College Recruiting. Coach Barbarich will coach and assist all of our Blue Star players and families in their growth, development and College Recruiting. Coach Barbarich has an extraordinary background in Lacrosse development as well as athletic performance and strength and conditioning.
Coach Barbarich comes to Blue Star Lacrosse directly from coaching at The University of Maryland for the past 4 years, 2018-2021.

Coach Barbarich currently resides in Somerville, New Jersey. He graduated from Bridgewater-Raritan High School where he was a three year starter at midfield and US Lacrosse All- American. He helped lead the Panthers to multiple Group IV state tournament titles in 2009 and 2011, and the Tournament of Champions title in 2011. Tyler was a member of the 2012 U-19 USA Men’s Lacrosse Gold Medal team.
He continued his academic and athletic career at the University of Delaware, under Hall of Fame coach Bob Shillinglaw. Tyler earned a varsity letter all four years he attended Delaware, and earned All CAA honors. He completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. He also received a Master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from UD, while being an Assistant Coach for the Blue Hens for 2 years.
Coach Barbarich moved to The University of Maryland in 2018 as an Assistant Coach under Coach John Tillman. Coach Barbarich primarily worked with the Face-Off Specialists, Goalies, and with Coach Jesse Bernhardt and the defensive unit.
