Congratulations to 2023 White in winning the Millon Summer Championship in Elkridge, MD. This is a prestigious event featuring the top programs in the nation. Over the span of two days, the 23 White team worked to create victory utilizing their depth to dig deep and win a number of close games. 

Day 1 the team faced off against DC Express, Rising Sons and 91 Maryland. DC Express and White kicked off the day battling at a high level to a 4-2 win. Blue Star then followed that up with a convincing 12-4 victory vs Rising Sons. To finish the day the team dropped its only game of the weekend in a tight one with Team 91 Maryland.

Day 2 - The heat was a major factor on day 2, with temperatures in the 90's and high humidity. Blue Star battled in 3 close games on their way to the title.

Heading into the playoffs, Blue Star earned the 5th seed and had a rematch with the #4 seeded DC Express. Blue Star earned a 5-4 victory and moved on to face the #1 Freedom team from PA. This was a tight back and forth battle that headed to overtime. The game was punctuated by a sudden victory goal by Ethan Krauss (Shawnee) to send Blue Star to the finals. 

In the finals, Blue Star faced the Juiced Cherries from Michigan. The Cherries advanced to the finals as the #2 seed defeating 91 Carolina and then dispatching #3 Looneys LC 14-3 in convincing fashion. 

The game was a battle from start to finish. Both teams battled hard in their 3rd game of the day. Tied after 2 halves the game proceeded to overtime. This time, Blue Star sealed the game with a beautiful goal by Ryan Waldman (Westfield) assisted by Ethan Krauss (Shawnee). 

Blue Star was excellent on defense all weekend, encouraged by strong play from Trey Brown (Westfield), Beau Kemler (Rumson), and Will Reehder (Rumson). 

The team heads to the Radar Invitational this weekend and hopes to continue its success.
