Nearly every Blue Star team took to the field this weekend, in the first of two back-to-back, Lacrosse-heavy weekends! Most teams took to the fields in Mercer County Park for Fall Finale, while a few of our High School teams took part in True Recruiting Cup.

Fall Finale

2028

The youngest team at Fall Finale had a great day on the field, as they continued to learn and grow. Winning their last game of the day let the team end on a high note. Connor Albert continued his hot streak this Fall with another strong performance, joined by solid play from Allen Wu and Jack Farrington; who have also become increasingly imposing scoring threats in their own rights. Alex Ziezuela played well before his day was cut short by injury as well.

2027

Our 2027's had a great day, as they went 3-0! Nate Damashek had a great day not only at the Faceoff X, but also scoring some goals. Drew Samaan shined as a two-way middie; making a ton of plays between the boxes. Brody Kowalczyk quarterbacked a strong and athletic defensive unit.

2026 Navy

2026 Navy finished with 2 wins and a tie on the day, led by strong attack play by Evan Michener, as well as the lefty duo of Devin Dzwolak and Aidan Ruff. The team also had players who scrapped in the middle of the field, featuring the hustle and athleticism of Liam Butler, Alex Scibilia, and Reggie Lawrence.

2026 Blue

2026 Blue faced some adversity, but learned a lot through two very hard-fought one-goal losses after winning their opening game. Brayden Holveck led the offense, while Jonah Park and Jackson Jones sparked transition in the middle; making plays up and down the field. The defense was led by strong performances from Owen Tallo and Sean Currie.

2025 Navy

2025 Navy's calling card for the day was strong defense, giving up a combined 12 goals in their 3 games. That theme only expanded in the second game, as defense led to offense, with Lexi Tomaselli picking off a pass from his LSM position and taking it the length of the field before scoring. In the third game, Christian LaRusso scored 3 goals to help the team come back and defeat NJLC 4-2.

2025 Blue

2025 Blue's day was highlighted by a tight game against Upper Level, as the team continued to learn and get better. Graham Bricker shined as a quarterback of the offense from his Attack position. Adam Wade made plays all over, in all three facets of the game. Ryan Ward wreaked havoc for opposing offenses and played a critical role in sparking transition play.

2024 Navy

2024 Navy had another strong day, with the offense being led by Cole Heiser and Owen Embley. Luke Kirmsse had the highlight goal of the day, that stopped his teammates, opponents, and spectators in their tracks, as he dropped a right-handed hammer on the run from 14 yards. The defense was led by Jake Simkins, and the helpful contribution of Pearce Brittain filling in at LSM.

2024 Blue

2024 Blue had an impressive showing at Fall Finale, with a very complete showing in all three areas of the field. The attack got strong play from Steven Csorba and Sean Koenke, while Marco Guddat, Evan Alvarez and Kevin Gorelick impressed in the midfield. JP Hanley led the defense, as Sol Chung was up to nearly every shot he saw in cage; frustrating opposing offenses all day.

2023

The 2023's had a full day with 4 games, and learned a lot while playing against 3 highly competitive teams. Michael Mehler and Colin Ward brought dynamic effort and lacrosse IQ to the field as an attack pairing, while Jack Bertino and Luke Mokrzycki made plays across the middle of the field and shined with their off-ball play on offense. Remy Blank stepped into a leadership role on defense; communicating at a high level and quarterbacking the slide packages, while also making plays off the ground and sparking transition with a combination of speed and stick skills.

22 Blue

22 Blue learned a lot, as they had the most challenging schedule of any of our teams at Fall Finale; as they faced two teams featuring a number of seniors before playing an extremely tight game against NJLC. Louis Marius shined in his usual jack-of-all-trades role, playing both longstick and shortstick. Ian Staniec continued his dominance in the middle of the field.

True Recruiting Cup

2024 White

24 White went 3-0 on the day due to an all-around team effort! Both goalies, Brendan Coyle and Will Setteducate had solid days keeping the opponents at bay and leading the team defense. The offense was extremely balanced throughout the day. Exceptional ball movement lead to team success. Nate Winters was the benefactor of this ball movement and finished the ball well scoring multiple goals.

2023 White

23 White played at an extremely high level this weekend going undefeated in very close competition.  Ryan Waldman and Ethan Krauss lead the attack unit in scoring. They saw tremendous success with their outstanding riding effort and transition play. Mike Murphy was a stalwart on faceoffs winning approximately 85% of his draws on the day. Quinn Wojcik made great save after great save while anchoring the defense. Jake Abdi was a major dodging threat slashing to the goal on several occasions while Brendan Donelly demonstrated his shooting prowess from range. Nolan Sampson had an outstanding day do all of the little things. Coaches describe him as the glue guy at midfield playing great defense and pushing the ball to the offense.

2022 White

Great first outing of the Fall for the 22's finishing 2-1. They improved tremendously as the day went on and they got their chemistry back. Seamus Schofield was outstanding all day at the face-off X. The D was anchored by athletic and aggressive play from Carson Brown (Hopkins) and Zach Laperriere. Carson put the ball on the ground multiple times and turned defense into offensive leading the break. Tim Murray (Hobart) played outstanding defense and was strong in the transition game as well. Dan Pressler shined as a one-man clear on multiple occasions.
