Youth Recap - 3 Straight Overtime Wins!!!!!!!

The 5/6 grade team came into the weekend after a great week of practice and had one of the most memorable tournaments that the coaches, players and parents won't soon forget!

They capped off the first day of play at Trilogy Rider with a win in overtime to go undefeated and the hot streak continued into the playoffs on Saturday...

On Saturday, the team yet again made it interesting in the semis with another overtime win over another local club. Going into the finals they faced an older team from Atlanta that up to this point had won by huge margins. The coaching staffed pushed the players to believe in themselves and they did! Scoring a minute into Overtime to win the tournament! Congratulations to all the players and parents on an incredible (and memorable) tournament!

HS All-Stars Compete at Sweetlax Invitational

This weekend Blue Star further solidified it's position as one of the most competitive programs in the country after a successful weekend at stacked SweetLax invitational. All the high school teams and the 2020/2021 teams made the trip up to Rochester, including several freshmen and sophomores for the showcase on Friday.

The tournament attracted some of the top teams from around the nation creating extremely competitive games and attracted scores of college coaches from D1, D2 and D3 programs.

The 2020/21's entered into elite competition for the first time this weekend allowing them to stretch and grow as a team and players. They drew the toughest draw of all teams facing eventual tournament finalists Edge Ontario and SweetLax Upstate.  The boys showed grit and tenacity while learning at the highest level. They also got to spend some quality time off the field with each other at team dinners!

The 2019's grew as a unit throughout the weekend. They battled against Rock Baltimore, eventual Champions 3D New England, and 3D Michigan on Saturday. The 19's had the win of the weekend for Blue Star defeating Dukes Blue in a double OT instant classic. The 19's finished tournament play dropping a tight game against an outstanding SweetLax Upstate squad.

Coach Whitlow's 2018's finished the weekend with a big win over a very strong LB3 National team. While the 2017's lead by Coach Doss had another strong showing going 2-1 on Saturday vs LB3 National, 3D Michigan, and 3D Colorado. On Sunday, the 2017's were victorious in a first round matchup with Syracuse-based Orange Crush advancing to play loaded SweetLax Upstate team in what was a clash of titans. This was an unbelievable match-up that featured two of best teams in the country.

As we continue to compete at these tournaments, we are more and more impressed by our players ability to grow as athletes and young men!
